About Us:

Our main objective is to lift the spirits of our 1st Responders and to let them know our community is behind them one hundred percent. We always try to find ways to encourage and support our 1st Responders in any way we can. They are very important to our community and we are so grateful they do what they do.


Showing gratitude and respect to those that serve our communities (in the Humble and Atascocita, Texas communities) in our times of need.

How the 1st Responders Appreciation Squad started…

In 2023, God led Carmen Wisenbaker, President of Penworth Publishing, to start the “1st Responders Appreciation Squad” where she is also the Volunteer Coordinator. The group shows 1st Responders (Firefighters, EMT’s, and Police Officers in the Humble, Texas community), appreciation for their service through a Prayer team, a Card Writing team, an Appreciation Basket team that delivers baked goods and tasty treats periodically to each station, along with other projects throughout the year, and a 1st Responders Speakers Bureau where we book our 1st Responders for safety programs in our community.


We show thankfulness to our 1st Responders through various teams:

   Prayer Team
   Card Ministry
   Appreciation Baskets 
   Fun Contests
   Books of Inspiration
   1st Responders Speakers Bureau
‌   And other various projects throughout the year.

OUR PRAYER FOR OUR 1ST RESPONDERS:

Each time we hear a siren, we lift them up in prayer:

“Heavenly Father, we lift up these 1st Responders responding to this call and those they are responding to. Lord, protect them all and if it be in your will—may all things go well. In Jesus Christ we pray.”
